A Rocha mobilises for Hope 360
For the second time, A Rocha is taking part in the Hope 360 event, which offers sporting challenges to benefit projects in the developing world.
This year’s programme includes 15 projects on various themes such as ecology, health, education and socio-economic development.
We invite you to discover the project led by A Rocha: the installation of biological sand filters for the inhabitants of Kampala in Uganda. This reliable, low-tech and inexpensive technology will allow them to benefit from quality water, which is essential for good health, and to limit their impact on the environment.
Committed to distance
On June 3rd, the great connected challenge to collectively walk, ride, cycle or use any other non-polluting means of locomotion around the circumference of our beautiful planet began. At A Rocha, our “Hope-ers” have already covered more than 600 km:
- Samuel
- Capucine
- Manon (who started jogging a bit too hard on the Courmettes estate and had to replace it with regular bike rides along the Garonne river in Toulouse due to knee tendonitis)
- Coline with her journey between the two A Rocha France centres which you can follow here or on our social networks (Facebook and Instagram) (in French only)
- Téo
- the Fauriel family,
- the Mouhot family: Paul and his father Jean-François take up the challenge of cycling to Valence! Read the details of their journey here (in French only)
- the Faure family
Thanks to them! And you? Don’t hesitate to join the team and share your great projects with us!
If you like photography or if you come across surprising elements of God’s creation on your way, don’t hesitate to participate in the Great Photo Contest in partnership with A Rocha. To enter, simply register for the event and send your best shots to elena@collectif-asah.org. A Rocha and ASAH will award the prizes at the end of the event on 09 October in Valence.
